That is why most governments and food agencies have imposed limitations on the amount or percentage of trans fatty acids which may be present in a cooking oil.

When we are eating out, our food choices inevitably include ice cream, pizza, burger etc. but they are all very highly acidic foods. Acidity produced by food not only produces digestive problems but also encourages the growth of harmful pathogens in the body. When our whole body fluids become acidic (especially blood) then the all the red blood cells tend to clump together due to electrostatic force of attraction. Our red blood cells are negatively charged and if the blood is positively charged due to the presence of positive hydrogen ions then most of the RBC’s will clump together (positive-negative attraction).  Thus the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood is reduced greatly.
